Why Windows 11 Came Out Early?

One way Microsoft is ready for their Windows 10 Anniversary Update is by starting the rollout in multiple time zones. This means that it starts in select countries when the clock strikes midnight in that part of the world. That’s why you see updates popping up online earlier than that date in certain parts of the globe, including countries like India, Japan, South Korea, China and more.

How to Get Windows 11 on Your PC or Laptop?

Windows 11 is free to upgrade for users who already own a genuine copy of Windows 10. Because every license is tied to your digital entitlement, you’ll need to associate it with your Microsoft account if you’ve made any changes to the device, like signing in with a local user account instead.

The first thing you need to do is check the compatibility of your device with windows 11. We already have provided the complete guide about how to check windows 11 compatibility.

Through Windows Update

The Windows 11 update will automatically update on the supported devices that have Windows 10. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update. Here, click on Check for Updates.

Sometimes it’s frustrating to be left waiting for an update. But as updates roll out it’ll feel like such relief as time goes by and you realize how good you felt sticking with Windows 10 compared to what the alternative was offered.

You can use the PC Health Check app to see which operating systems are compatible with your device. If your device isn’t compatible—don’t worry—you can get a computer that comes installed with Windows 11 (and preinstalled by various OEMs.

Through Media Creation Tool

If you want to do a clean install, then you can download the Windows 11 Media Creation Tool from Microsoft’s website and use it to create bootable USB media.

The website allows users to create an ISO by saving the virtual machine or locate it via Microsoft’s Windows 11 Installation Assistant on an existing computer running Windows 10.

With that method, you’ll never have to wait for updates from Microsoft to push to your device. On the other hand, this may become a problem if you don’t follow the proper steps and choose not to read up on their history of incompatible updates.

Anyway, the latest Windows 11 version comes with the aforementioned visual upgrades. Specifically, it has upgraded displays settings, file manager factory design (I can’t believe I’m saying this), icons for apps that you download from the Microsoft Store onto your computer via an internet connection or onto a flash drive, etc.\

How to Download Windows 11 ISO File?

As the Windows 11 era arrives, it is now possible to download an upgrade rather than joining the Windows Insider Program. However, upgrading previous versions of Windows to Microsoft’s latest OS has its risks. Clean installing instead would be more beneficial for all parties involved.

Clean installing an operating system is safer than upgrading it. The safest mode of all when it comes to updating is waiting in the queue, but if the wait isn’t something you want to deal with or are impatient for, there are ways to go around it.

Windows 11’s installation process is similar to its predecessor, Windows 10. To follow along with the installation, back up your files and any personal data on your computer, just in case it goes wrong. It will require at least 8GB of space on a USB drive to install Windows 11 – this can be an internal or external device. Also, ensure that TPM 2.0 support is enabled and Secure Boot is turned on; you’ll need to check the firmware settings (or BIOS) for this device if either is not already set up correctly. With everything configured accordingly, install Windows 11 over the top of your existing Windows OS (unless you wish to perform a clean installation).

Alternatively, you can use a simple open-source script to download a Windows 11 ISO that will help you make your PC ready for this latest Windows OS. This way, you will avoid issues that might arise because of TPM checks or if your PC is simply incompatible with the new version.

  1. Go to the official repository
  2. Download the zip file.

2. Make Bootable USB Drive to Clean Install Windows 11

Microsoft has made it difficult to create Windows 11 installation media. Before we could use the third-party tool called Rufus to select Windows ISO and create USB installation media for instance. But Rufus formats the USB drive in NTFS format as the installation files are beyond FAT32’s capacity and can’t be read without a secure boot.

However, we have a solution.

1. Insert the USB drive into your pc or laptop

2. Right-click on the Start button and then select Disk Management.

3. First, go to the bottom of the partitioned area, where your USB Drive is listed. To delete all partitions on your drive, right-click the main part of it and choose Delete Volume.

4. Now, feel free to create some unallocated space by right-clicking on the unused portion of your computer’s hard drive and choosing “Create New Simple Volume.”

5. Go through the setup wizard to create a new volume that’s 1GB in size and the format is FAT32.

You now have a bootable USB drive ready that can perform a clean install of the Windows 11 operating system.

3. Perform a Clean Install Windows 11

Once you’ve got your installation media ready, you can begin working on that final step – installing Windows. Similar to opening the boot menu for your motherboard, each computer system comes with its own quirks when it comes to this sort of thing so shopping around for information is always key.

Your best bet is to head over to your computer manufacturer’s web page and check out how you can access the “boot menu” – what they call it may vary but the goal is essentially the same. If you can locate an option to open it directly (i.e., pressing “F10” “F9” or “F12” at any point during boot-up) then feel free to skip step 5!

1. The first step is to restart your PC to open the Advanced Startup Options. To perform this step you need to hold the Shift key on your keyboard while restarting the PC from the power menu.

2. After that, click on the “use a device” option in advanced startup options.

3. You should now see two options for your USB drive. The upper one should be the NTFS partition, which is the one you need to open; if not, choose the lower one by repeating this step again.

4. Finally, the Windows 11 Setup screen will appear. You’ll follow the onscreen instructions to go through the Terms of Use, Edition, Product Key, and then select the “Custom: Install Windows Only” option.

5. Select the installation path that was driving “C” previously and format it. Now select the same drive again and click on the Next button.

6. While Windows 11 was being installed into your computer, your device will restart twice to complete the installation. Afterward, your system will start setting up Windows for the first time.

7. That’s it, you are done installing windows 11. Enjoy!

Finally, the process of reinstalling an updated Windows operating system is finished. The process has gotten harder than it used to be, but it’s still one of the best ways to upgrade to a new operating system.
