Oppo recently revealed their latest line of smartphones particularly the Find X4 Pro patent and they blew everyone out of the water. They just dropped a new folding device, the Oppo Find N. They also showed off their AR glasses and a retractable camera. They also debuted their own self-designed Imaging Neural Processing Unit (NPU).
A recent story disclosed that Oppo obtained a patent. This patent for a new device shows an under-display camera as well as a secondary display on the back. I am not sure but, this might be the patent of Oppo Find X4.
Oppo Find X4 Pro Patent
The rumors are hinting that the Oppo Find X4 Pro will be the next flagship smartphone in its lineup. Guangdong Oppo Mobile Telecommunications filed for a design patent (CNIPA) in September 2020. Let’sGoDigital has released the news and covered it.
On the back of the phone, we see a square-shaped glass panel with a quad-camera system engraved into it. Now, on the left side of the window, you should see a secondary display. There are other things that the secondary display might be used for like taking selfies, but I think it’ll mainly be used to make up for the lower quality selfie camera. The user will be able to take selfies using the back camera.
Besides the camera area, the rest of the phone is flat at the back. Design choices come down to personal preference, but nonetheless, this is an interesting design choice. The frame on the side of the phone is slim, with a small recess for buttons. It seems Oppo is experimenting with all the different kinds. From folding to under-display & dual-display.
