Black Shark 4S Series has finally launched in China. The latest gaming smartphones by Black Shark are available in the market with minor upgrades as compared to its precessors. The Black Shark 4S series comes in two different models, just like Black Shark 4 series. These models are Black Shark 4S and Black Shark 4S pro. Let’s get into a detailed overview of these mobile phones.
Black Shark 4S and Black Shark 4S Pro Specifications
This new Black Shark 4S series is very much identical to Asus ROG Phones. These newly launched models are not showing any branding of X on their rear sides. The Black Shark 4 series featured this X pattern on their rear side. However, they have used the mechanical shoulder buttons in these new phones as well that use magnetic power-lifting.
The first model Black Shark 4S comes with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 like Black Shark 4. The other model Black Shark 4S Pro is powered with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+.
Both devices come with 6.67 inches Samsung E4 AMOLED display supporting a resolution of 1080pX2400 pixels (FHD+), 144Hz refresh rate, and an amazing upgrade of 720Hz touch sampling rate. The main panel comes with two pressure-sensitive zones i. centered punch hole ii. and 1300 nits peak brightness. This device supports MEMMC, DC Dimming, and eye protection mode.
Black Shark 4S and Black Shark 4S Pro Features
Both the devices support LPDDR5 RAM but there is a vanilla model that has a slower 5500Mbps module as compared to a faster 6400Mpbs module in the pro variant. Both mobile phones also support UFS 3.1 storage but the Pro variant of Black Shark 4S also supports SSD Disk Array System.
Black Shark 4S and Black Shark 4S Pro Camera
Both variants come with a triple rear camera setup with a 48MP primary camera on the vanilla version and 64MP on the pro version, also include an 8MP ultra-wide and 5MP macro shooter. The front camera is 20MP on both devices inside a punch hole.
Other Features
There are some minor features such as dual SIM support, 5G technology, dual-band WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, 3.5mm headphone jack, USB Type-C port, and GNSS (GPS, A-GPS, GALILEO, GLONASS, BeiDou, QZSS). Some of the more features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, dual sterio speakers, RGB light, accelerometer, ambient light sensor, promximity sensor, compass, barometer and gyroscope.
There few more specs needed to be mentioned, the Black Shark 4S series is based on MIUI based JOYUI 12.8 operating system, powered with a 4500mAh battery, 120W fast charging support. These devices are also compatible with other charging protocols like Qualcomm Quick Charge (QC) and USB Power Deliver (PD).

The Black Shark 4S and the Black Shark 4S Pro will retail for the following price tags in China.
Like their predecessors, the new phones by Huawei are expected to start shipping on October 15. They could also be available for sale overseas in the near future.
