The Realme 9 Pro Series has become official just two days ago and debuted in the global market, including Europe. There are three brand-new models in this lineup: the Realme 9 Pro, Realme 9i, and the first Pro Plus variant of the Number Series: the Realme 9 Pro+. Unlike the Realme 9i, which is a lower-midrange phone without 5G, the 9 Pro and the Pro Plus are upper-midrange phones with 5G. The comparison below shows all the main differences between the handsets, but that’s not all.
Realme 9 Pro vs Realme 9 Pro+ vs Realme 9i
Design
Sunrise Blue is definitely the most impressive color option available on the Realme 9 Pro+. It is the first phone launched in the global and European markets that can be switched to a different color. You can change the color of the body by placing it under direct sunlight for approximately five seconds. Unlike the Pro Plus, the Realme 9 Pro lacks the color-changing back. Its color options are less impressive and it is different from other phones in its price range, but it is still a beautiful phone.
Display
The Realme 9 Pro Plus boasts the highest-resolution display of the trio. This is the only smartphone with an AMOLED display, so it displays richer colors and deeper blacks. Featuring a smaller 6.4-inch display with a 90 Hz refresh rate and a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, the phone has an integrated fingerprint reader. Realme 9 Pro wins the silver medal with a Full HD+ display sporting a 120 Hz refresh rate and an IPS panel. It is similar to the 9i except for the refresh rate: in this case, it is lower and it stops at 90 Hz.
Specs & Software
A Mediatek Dimensity 920 5G processor is the most powerful processor found in the Realme 9 Pro+, followed by the Snapdragon 695 5G processor found in the 9 Pro. Although both phones have 8 GB of RAM, only the Pro Plus reaches 256 GB of internal storage, while the Pro is limited to 128 GB. The Realme 9i does not support 5G since its Snapdragon 680 mobile platform is less powerful than the Snapdragon 695 and Dimensity 920. Not only that, but the connectivity capabilities of the phone are also inferior. In comparison, Realme 9 Pro and 9 Pro Plus run Android 12 out of the box and feature Realme UI 3.0, while the 9i continues to run Android 11 and features Realme UI 2.0.
Camera
There is no doubt that the Realme 9 Pro Plus is a high-end camera phone. OPPO Find X3 Pro and many other flagships utilize Sony IMX766 cameras with a 50 MP resolution and optical image stabilization. On the other hand, we cannot say the same about the 9 Pro and 9i with their 64 and 50 MP main cameras and inferior sensors.
Battery
Although the Realme 9 Pro Plus is the most expensive, the Realme 9 Pro and 9i have the biggest batteries and can last longer. The Pro Plus, however, comes with faster charging (65W).
Price
On the European market, the Realme 9i costs €219/$248; the 9 Pro costs €319/$361; and the Pro+ costs €379/$429 When it comes to choosing the best value for money, which would you pick?

Final Words
Realme launched three models recently in Europe. Realme 9 Pro, Realme 9 Pro+, and Realme 9i are the three models launched but there are differences in the specifications and features of each model. All the models hit different price tags and different specifications. Definitely, the Realme 9 Pro+ is the best mobile if we consider the specifications of this decision but the price tag is higher and Realme 9 Pro has great features as well but does not support 5G. The next upcoming smartphone in 2022 should come with 5G support because the future does belong to 5G technology. Which variant do you like the most let me know in the comments below?
