Snapdragon 898 Specifications
South Korean tech giant Samsung will manufacture the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 (SM-8450) using a 4nm process. It will run on dual 3400 architecture using Adreno 730 GPU. It will also use the same octa-core chipset with the frequency of 1.79GHz, it can also be overclocked by using higher power wattage.
This chipset is having a prime ARM Cortex-X2 CPU core that will be running at 3.0GHz, three Cortex-A710 based mid-cores clocked at 2.5GHz and four efficient Cortex-A510 derived cores running at 1.79GHz.
It offers to improve overall performance by 20 percent as compared to its predecessor and comes with a Snapdragon X65 5G modem, that will offer a maximum download speed of 10Gbps.
Smartphones That Will Use Snapdragon 898
As for smartphones, Xiaomi is the first brand to come with Snapdragon 898. The phone that will use this chipset is likely to be Xiaomi 12 or Mi 12 that will be launched by the end of this year. Another device that is expected to be using the same chipset is Samsung Galaxy S22.
Other than Xiaomi, many brands including Lenovo, Huawei, OPPO, Vivo, Motorola, and Samsung are in the list that will launch the smartphones powered by the latest Snapdragon 898 processor.
